Bloodsport (1988)
Frank Dux is an American officer who has studied martial arts since childhood with the Japanese master Sidoshi Tanaka. Having deserted from the army, Frank leaves for Hong Kong to take part in the underground world championship in kumite. His teacher Tanaka used the boy as a sparring partner for his son, but he died, and now he has prepared Dux to participate in competitions. In Hong Kong, Frank finds himself in the thick of things: he begins an affair with an American journalist, and American agents are hunting for him, who want to return the deserter. In the first match, Frank manages to set a record for the fastest knockout and he is confidently moving to victory, leaving his opponents no chance.
