A father and a teenage daughter from their first marriage decide to go on an unforgettable and very exciting trip to Africa. They are joined by a young friend of her father, to whom the girl is infinitely jealous of her beloved dad. The head of the family decides to combine rest with work responsibilities and observe the life of hyenas in the wild. One day, all of a sudden, a researcher and daughter encounter armed poachers just on the road to the savannah. As a result, the father dies at the hands of criminals and the teenager becomes the only witness. Now she and her unloved stepmother will have to survive together, despite all the differences. The black continent is dangerous not only by the rays of the scorching sun and ruthless poachers, but also by many wild and hungry animals.
