Trying to recover after the recent tragedy - the death of a six-year-old daughter - Mark and Mary Hughes take Brandon's son with them and leave for the wilderness, where they have a cottage. They want loneliness, silence and tranquility, but on the threshold of their secluded home unexpectedly there appears a friendly neighborly family - Bobby, Jane and their son Jared - who can not wait to greet the new arrivals. They bring firewood and beg for dinner. Polite hosts invite guests to the house, but soon they will regret their hospitality.
