The Christmas ad features a red-cheeked, benevolent Santa, whose only interests are cookies and milk. This is NOT our Kris Kringle. For the past two hundred years, Chris and his wife, Ruth, have retired to an Alaskan forest, out of the media spotlight. Unfortunately, the increase in the number of rebellious children led to a reduction in Santa's government subsidies, leaving him, his factory and workers saddled with the financial crisis. He works sixteen hours, drives a battered 1978 Ford truck, and drinks bourbon straight from a bottle. So, technically he's a saint, but Kris Kringle is still human.
