Father James, a Catholic priest in a small provincial town, listens to repentance, in which a parishioner tells him that he has been sexually assaulted by the deceased clergyman for many years. The parishioner shares with James his thoughts about the fact that no one will pay attention to the death of a bad priest, while killing a good one can make society think. With these words, he gives the Holy Father a week to put things in order, after which James will be killed. However, instead of starting to prepare for death or contact the police, the priest, in the released time, is engaged in ordinary everyday affairs, trying to change the life of his parishioners for the better.
