The Parts You Lose (2019)
Wesley, a young deaf boy, is often bullied at school, and his home life, a sanctuary, consists of his loving mother and younger sister. When his father, a rude, unhappy person, returns home, Wesley goes into a shy and awkward silence. But one day, returning home from school, Wesley finds a strange man on the road, helpless and bleeding. He leads a man into an abandoned barn near his home. The man is slowly recovering, he is being helped by Wesley, who secretly from his parents brings him food and medicine. He and Wesley develop a paternal relationship, as a person teaches Wesley how to temper and resist hooligans, both at school and at home. When the police presence begins to grow, Wesley sees the dark side of the man he helped. After the policeman visits his house, Wesley realizes that he may not be able to protect the person from detection and from the violence that ensues.
