Austenland (2013) is a romantic comedy film based on Shannon Hale's 2007 novel of the same name. The story follows Jane Hayes, an American woman obsessed with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.Jane spends her entire savings on a trip to a Jane Austen-themed resort in England, where guests live as regency ladies and interact with male actors . Although Jane can only afford the cheapest "copper" package, she befriends and clashes with guests who have purchased the more expensive "platinum" package . Jane initially develops a connection with Martin, the chauffeur/stablehand, but becomes disillusioned after realizing that her romance with him was scripted . However, when Jane returns home, she is surprised by the arrival of Nobley, who confesses that his feelings were genuine. They share a kiss, concluding the film .
